What We Are Now
JavenMorrisArt now represents the efforts of a frustrated young artist who dreamed of sharing compelling stories through a visual medium, perhaps even make an impact on the world through that artistry.
With our small but growing team, we create new and original fictional worlds for readers and viewers to explore through nothing but high-grade curated visuals. We also provide tools and teaching aids to upcoming artists interested in a similar path.
Our Founder
Javen Morris found a knack for drawing early in life and took up the practice as a hobby which lead to a passion. But his place in the art world was a mystery until seeing the cover art for “Submariner” drawn by Michael Turner in his middle-school art class. Comics became his preferred format for visual stories from then on.
Following a traditional path to pursue a formal education through college nudged Javen towards the field of concept art and design in order to follow the market demands at the time. Being significantly self-taught, he dropped out of his program at Computer Graphics Master Academy to start his own business as a freelancer.
Running a Youtube channel and hustling to get smaller commission projects crept his career closer to success slowly. He developed his skills beyond traditional and digital drawing and painting into the world of 3D as he started doing architectural visualization work for a client. He familiarized himself with the entire 3D Character creation workflow and learned sculpting, modeling, rigging, texture painting and procedural generation processes. Still, his vision remained unrealized.
Taking the leap from the recommended path, Javen returned to his passion for visual storytelling through comics and created Brewed Blood as the trailblazing project to tell the kinds of stories only he could tell. With a developed artistic eye and an eclectic skillset, he continues to create new titles and products through JavenMorrisArt.
Our Mission
We are motivated by our mission to inspire others through the arts in order to immerse them in joy. To do this we strive to enlighten, evoke, unify, and hearten.
To enlighten through the arts is to represent spiritually significant things in meekness and devotion. We prepare to do this by endeavoring to learn of life’s meaning and beauty.
We attempt to evoke visions of our potentials that we would otherwise miss out on without our work. We do this by representing invitations to improve ourselves.
In order to further unify the human family, we contribute to a shared collection of meaningful, artistic, shared experiences. Our stories and products to best with a side of friendship.
To hearten is to build up through hope and courage. To do this, we focus on the emotional connections viewers have with our work and strive to create uplifting experiences.
We believe that the arts can serve a noble purpose for our cultures and communities and we strive to fulfill that with every endeavor.
“Art itself appears because there is a spark of the divine nature in God’s children.”
— K. Newell Dayley
